Bird and Key is our personal brand derivedˇ from a nickname and some stationary. Sarah was called “Sarah bird” by her grandmother when she was young and she adopted the name “artchickee” as an email and website name. While Kirk and Sarah were dating, he wrote Sarah poetry on stationary that had some keys imprinted on it. Sarah took one of those keys, adjusted it, and combined it with a bird and together they make “Bird and Key”.

They are attempting to engage both the Church and the Art World by ministering in both spheres of influence. Kirk is a theologian and arts advocate, Sarah is a painter, illustrator and graphic designer…both of them find the life, words, and person of Jesus of Nazareth completely credible.

Sarah and Kirk are on staff with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ). They’ve been married since October 6, 2007. They are currently living in Orlando raising funds so they may return to NYC and participate in the vigorous discussion that is happening there on art, faith and humanity.
